Vacation Time

So Ian has the whole week off from work and it has been WONDERFUL. He was going to go be an extra body at scout camp but we never got around to getting him that physical and then there was the trip to Washington and well...So I took the whole week off too and we have been having some fabulous times!!
First, there was Washington - we decided Friday to go on Friday and we weren't sure how long we would stay or when we would come back. But we came back Monday morning...so Ian could play hockey. Ian took Taryn & I swimming. Then he washed the cars, took his brother Dallas & our niece Carrie & nephew Charles to hockey drop in. He & Dallas have worked on some crappy house projects (pretty much any upgrade on our house ends up taking way more time and way more money than anticipated). I had my soccer game. Then this morning we took Taryn to her piano/music camp - which is done by Ian's cousin and is seriously the most awesome class...Taryn loves it! She comes home singing a different song every time. Today after we picked her up she asked me to sing the macaroni & cheese song - she meant yankee doodle dandy. ;) While Taryn was in her class we checked out this cute store in Lehi to take sweet photos and found some awesome deals on some decorations for Ian's office - if we ever get to organizing the thing. ;)
Then we stopped in PG to visit my brother Stephen & his wife & family - we love them we could just sit and talk to them for hours (which we did). Taryn loves her cousin Kaylyn and their dogs, too.
Then we took a little drive up Provo Canyon to Heber to check out photo sites then we decided to take Guardsman Pass to Brighton
Here is the view on the pass...

Taryn did not appreciate the gravel road and kept asking Papa to make the car stop bouncing and being noisy. We stopped at Brighton to take a break at Silver Lake. Taryn loved the boardwalk and the little ducks that were eating the bugs. David didn't really appreciate the boardwalk since it bounced his stroller the whole time.

Me & my girl...she is so funny she will always tell me that she went to the doctor and he had to fix her knees so now they are sore and she can't walk much for awhile (my mom had double knee replacement in Jan...that is where Taryn gets that from).

Our little gymnast

She is just too cute. I really think she is the smartest kiddo around. And she is so sweet with David - she sings him songs when he cries and let's him suck on her fingers when he is hungry (even when Mama tells her not to) ;)

Reading up on the place.

We are so blessed to have Ian

Our little monkey likes to swing on and climb everything.

After the lake - we made a stop at the play ground. Taryn & Papa played - while David got some lunch. (See I tell ya Ian is the BEST).

Then it was off to run a few errands and then to Gardner Village...where Papa bought Taryn a cupcake & me some chocolate (again - he really is the BEST).

We stopped to feed the ducks gold fish.

Taryn pointed out where she threw the goldfish for the duck. Then she got mad at him because he wouldn't let the baby ducks come and get something to eat.

David liked watching the ducks too!

My favorite two guys!

My happy family - I am so BLESSED!

After the village - we came home and Ian put Taryn to bed and then rocked David to sleep. He is just awesome.
Tomorrow it is off to our family cabin in Logan Canyon for a few days. So excited!!
