It was Gma Rita's birthday today & when I asked Taryn what present we should get Grandma, she said that Grandma would like a big hug...
so since Grandma wasn't in town...Taryn gave this big hug to her via cell phone

Chocolate, Zoo and Gram 'E'

Tuesday night, I went to a young mother's meeting in our neighborhood and Taryn got to play with Papa. Taryn is at the stage where she loves to feed herself - which usually means bath after every meal. ;) She is so adorable when she feeds herself. Here she is using her giraffe spoon. Ian told me that she would scoop up the chocolate pudding into the spoon... ...then dump the pudding into her hand and then lick it off of her hand. on a few occasions, however, she would actually use the spoon to feed herself. ;) So CUTE! Last night, Taryn sat so quietly while I trimmed and filed her fingernails, that I decided she needed the full manicure - so I painted her fingernails for the first time. At lunch, I asked her to show me her fingernails and say cheese...this is what I got. You can see her nails a lil' bit better in this picture. David's Birthday Weekend & Easter in FC

David wanted to spend his bday in FC this year. His birthday fell on Easter so we made it happen. The Manti temple did an openhouse and we got tickets and went with Sara & Nicole and their families and Grandma. We had a yummy lunch afterwards and then headed back to FC. Dallas & Grandpa took the kids shooting and Dallas helped David to (I am not really sure) warm up and oil his new gun from grandpa so that it would shoot smoothly. David is great with his cousins Easter morning - David requested his basket to be hidden in a very difficult place. So I hid it in our room and then made he and Taryn think it was hidden in the basement. Papa did a sign for David in FC David's soda in Gma's fridge After church, we had an easter egg hunt. The kids had to wait for Grandma to be ready. They got a little crazy which is natural. They gave David a birthday dog pile. David had some yummy carrot cake and then he headed to camp at Gunlock with his Dad for spring break.

Birthday movie & lunch, Taryn's SBO election

I took David out of school early today to go buy his birthday present - a new hockey stick. Neither of us had eaten lunch so we decided to go to Braza Grill (his favorite) and invited Papa to come with us. Of all the things, I think that was David's favorite birthday experience - he loves when he gets time with Mom and Dad. Thursday night, Ian took David and his crew of friends to see the new Ghostbuster movie, while I went to visit a cousin. Jaxton, Bryce, Nick, Charliex2, David, Collin My great-grandmother, Anna Barfuss, bible I went to visit a cousin to see if he could recognize old photos of my moms...but unfortunately he could not. It was cool though because I got to see my great grandmother's desk and bible. Her desk Her book of commandments Taryn ran for SBO Secretary, which was a teacher only vote.
