One of our favorite family traditions is going to Fool Creek for Memorial Day. We usually try to go into the dance on Saturday night and the breakfast on Monday morning. I really love how patriotic it is down there...there are ceremonies at the cemetery's and flags for the veterans. We usually go to the ceremony in Oak City and then spend a little time with Grandma & Grandpa Great to learn about some of our relatives and put flowers on the graves.
